Having worked with Mark and Luke on previous events over the years, when they mentioned putting together Machine Building Live, we just had to get involved!
Maintaining a business or industry is admirable, of course, but at what price? And when will the reckoning begin? While UK industry has put its time and energy into maintaining the business, where is the development and innovation coming from? This event presents a great opportunity for like-minded engineers to get together and see what the industry has to offer and benefit from having various industry-leaders at one event.

As the trade body for Instrumentation, Process Control, Industrial Automation and Laboratory technology in the UK, it is our prerogative to ensure that the UK manufacturing sector is championed through sharing methods of best practice amongst our members. Therefore, it is our pleasure to be supporting our members at the very first Machine Building Live event, showcasing the unrivalled innovation and technology of UK Machine Builders. In recent times, our industry has faced a backdrop of external shocks and pressures which have meant that ensuring UK manufacturing, is "shock proof" is more essential than ever before, and these machine builders are a fantastic example of how this resilience was and can be achieved.
I really like the laser-like focus of this exhibition. Our customers are in the Machine Building business, so this exhibition is perfect for us. We look forward to meeting contacts old and new, to work together on saving money and improving technology by using igus motion plastics.
